Thunder Paws is an original brand created by The Petshop, the leading and largest specialist retailer of pet goods, accessories and supplies in the Middle East. The product line had already been produced and sold for a while in physical and online stores, but was having difficulty competing against similar priced options on the market. Both the brand and the packaging did not communicate the premium quality of the product to the consumer, being visually classified as having a lower quality and higher price for the category. The goal in the rebranding project was to help the company position itself as a premium line, with high-quality ingredients, with a modern perspective and bold presence in the pet market.

Our Proccess

During the diagnostic process, we sought to understand the brand’s real value proposition and how it currently presents itself. The research began within the company, with the team responsible, and then moved on to understanding its clients and competitors on the shelf. The new brand could not deviate completely from the previous version, as it was already known to some of its customers, but it still needed to be reinterpreted to represent the product’s premium category.

Loud and Bright

We began the design process by redesigning the logo with a bolder, more modern icon and font, while maintaining the concept of thunder within an animal paw. We also prioritized font consistency, a more structured and electric color palette, and the creation of an unic iconography and illustrations to highlight the brand’s fun and modern personality. For the packaging, we better distributed the most important information for easier access and used strategic colors and cuts to differentiate it from other competitors, showing the distinction and prominence that a premium product needs.
